I already messed up. Sorry. I met Salle in bookmaking classes. I got to know her better when she joined book club. She was a far better bookmaker than I. Her workmanship was meticulous. Also, she always added original, unexpected touches that make her books delightful. Seeing her books inspired me to decorate the insides of my books to compliment the outsides.
After I moved to Florida, Salle visited me several times. We sat in my studio talking, laughing, and exchanging ideas. On her last visit, I introduced her to rubber stamping, which she though would enhance her serendipity journal. It was such a fun day. I had hoped we would be able to get together this year, but I guess it wasn’t meant to be. Because I’m high risk for Covid, I will not be able to come to her funeral. I will miss her greatly. You’re all in my prayers.
