Louis Linnemann is the sixth-generation Owner and President of Linnemann Funeral Homes, proudly serving families in the Northern Kentucky community for the past 19 years. A 2005 graduate of St. Xavier High School and a 2009 graduate of Miami University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Louis went on to earn his MBA from Xavier University in 2012. He also completed advanced leadership training through the University of Cincinnati’s Goering Center Leadership Development Institute.
Louis currently serves as Secretary/Treasurer of the Funeral Directors Association of Kentucky Board. He is a Certified Funeral Service Professional (CFSP), a Kentucky Colonel, and a member of the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Leadership Class of 2024.
Deeply committed to the families he serves, Louis often says, “If we haven’t helped someone in their grief, we haven’t done our job.” He believes funeral service extends far beyond the day of the ceremony, advocating for ongoing counseling and compassionate guidance. As a strong proponent of mental health awareness, Louis views emotional support as an essential part of the funeral planning process.
An avid sports enthusiast, Louis co-founded and served as president of the Miami University Club Football Team and has coached youth basketball at St. Pius X. He grew up attending Gloria Dei Lutheran Church with his mother, Marsha, and St. Henry Church with his father, Guy. He is the triplet brother of Paige Linnemann-Pindela and Annie Linnemann-Denney, and the younger brother of Mavis Linnemann-Clark.
Louis lives in Edgewood, KY, with his wife, Chelsea; their children, Reid and Phoebe; and their loving pit bull mix, Izzy. Continuing a family tradition started by his late grandfather, Bud Linnemann, the family are members of Summit Hills Country Club, where Bud and his wife, Alice, were members for more than 30 years.
When not working, Louis enjoys spending time with his family at local parks, bicycling through Edgewood, hiking, playing golf, and attending FC Cincinnati, Cincinnati Bengals, and Cincinnati Reds games.
