William Joseph Ravenscraft, 86, of Erlanger, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014 at Baptist Village in Erlanger surrounded by his family. Mr. Ravenscraft was a Graduate of Newport High School and attended the University of Cincinnati Evening College where he received his BS Administration. His favorite interests were genealogy, stamp collecting and big band music. He proudly served our country in the United States Army and was retired as a Consumer Consultant for Cincinnati Gas and Electric Co. He was a member of the Jaycees in Campbell Co., Optimist Club of Ft. Thomas and the Robert Burns Masonic Lodge. Mr. Ravenscraft is survived by his loving wife; Shirlie May (nee: Ferguson) Ravenscraft and their 2 sons, Mark Douglas (Barbara) Ravenscraft and Darren Lee (Jeannine) Ravenscraft. He also leaves behind his brother, Myron Donald Ravenscraft, grandchildren, Alison Margaret, Claire Renee, Megan Catherine, Jeffrey Ravenscraft, and great grandchild, Roselyn Strain Ravenscraft, nieces and nephews, Diana Banks, Nancy Kouns, David Lucas, Pamela Rice and Melissa Merritt. Graveside services will be held on Friday, Dec. 12th at 11:00am at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, KY In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Baptist Village Long House, 3000 Riggs Rd, Erlanger, KY 41018.
