William “Bill” Thelen

William “Bill” Thelen 74, of Edgewood, KY died at his residence after a long illness. He served in the United States Air Force as an air traffic controller during the Berlin Crisis and later throughout the country at many different airports. He was a teacher of economics at Thomas More College, Northern Kentucky University, and Covington Latin High School. He also volunteered for United Ministries and a local reading program. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Marcia Thelen, sons Billy Thelen(Leah) of Bossier City, LA, and Rob Thelen(Cara) of Edgewood , KY, sister Mary Ann Perraut of Cynthiana, KY, brother David Thelen(Joan) Lakeside Park, Ky and grandchildren William Zachary, Gabe, Abby and Jake Thelen. Visitation will be Monday, May 12th from 9-11 am at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 2718 Dixie Highway Crestview Hills, KY. Funeral service will follow at 11am.
