William J. “Bill” Hausfeld, 90, of Edgewood, KY, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2014, at his residence. He was a self employed mechanic and volunteer at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, and Airport Ambassador at CVG. Bill was a decorated WWII Army veteran and member of the 29th Infantry Division. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann Hausfeld (nee Wiebe) of Edgewood, KY, daughter Diana Taggart (William) of Lebanon, OH, Elaine Asbury of Cincinnati, OH, Claudia Lupia (Thomas) of Westerville, OH, and Teresa Beckman (Rev. Paul) of Cincinnati, OH, step-daughter Kimberly Ferguson, of Elsmere, KY, step-son Scott Middendorf of Villa Hills, KY, step-son Michael Middendorf of Villa Hills, KY, 14 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his first wife Rita Hausfeld (nee Levy) and his granddaughter Melia Asbury. A visitation will be held on Thursday August 28, 2014 4pm until 6:30pm at St. Pius X Church, in Edgewood. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow the visitation and begin at 6:30pm at St. Pius X. A Reception will follow the Mass and take place in Milligan Hall. Interment will be at St. Joseph New Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH. Memorial Contributions can be sent to St. Elizabeth Hospice 483 South Loop Rd. Edgewood, KY 41017.
