William “Bill” Edgar Graves

William “Bill” Edgar Graves, 97, entered eternal life on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. Son of the late Edgar Surface and Grace Rebecca Bullock Graves. Bill was very involved in the life of his family and community. Among his many accomplishments: he was the oldest member of the Hebron Lutheran Church, a member of the Hebron Lions Club, 50+yr member of the Hebron Masonic Lodge 757, past director of the Boone Co. Farm Bureau, member emeritus of the Boone Co. Fair Board, eldest member of the Sons of the American Revolution, as well as teacher and mentor for many students during his education career in the Boone Co. School District. Bill’s wife, Virginia Lee Graves, parents and brothers: Robert Linton and James Alvin Graves preceded him in passing. He is survived by his loving children: Virginia Sue Graves Spalding (Joseph), Sally Ann Burcham (Ron) and Randy Graves (Debi); 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, as well as many family members, friends and countless past pupils. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 from 10 AM to 1 PM at Hebron Lutheran Church followed by Funeral Service at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Hebron Lutheran Cemetery.
