Wanda Romana Blazejewski

Obituary
Condolences

Wanda Romana Blazejewski, 95, of Erlanger, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2026.

Born on June 13, 1930, in Lwów, Poland, Wanda was the cherished daughter of Szymon Pawlik and Stanisława (née Lewandowska) Pawlik. She carried her Polish heritage proudly throughout her life and built a home rooted in faith, family, tradition, and love.

Wanda is survived by her loving children, Christopher (Jolanta) Blazejewski, Janusz (Kathy) Blazejewski, and Maria (Kevin) Kanter; her beloved grandchildren, Matthew (Kasey) Blazejewski, Jennifer (Matt) Zumbiel, Jessica Blazejewski, Jonathan (Maria) Blazejewski, Andrew (Ana) Blazejewski, Nicole Blazejewski, Brandon (Kathryn) Kanter, and Nick Kanter; and 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her tremendous joy.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stefan Blazejewski, with whom she shared 43 years of marriage until his passing in 1991; her siblings, Alina, Jadwiga, and Leszek; and her parents.

Wanda’s Catholic faith was the foundation of her life and one of the most important parts of who she was. Her devotion to God and praying the rosary guided the way she lived, loved, and cared for others. She was also proud of her education, having attended and graduated from the Polish Young Women Auxiliary Service School (SMO) in Nazareth, and later earning her associate’s degree from North London Polytechnic. She spent a large portion of her career working for Great American Insurance Company.

Above all, Wanda was deeply devoted to her family and dedicated her life to caring for them. She especially treasured her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother, making it one of her greatest joys to be a present, loving, and involved part of her grandchildren’s lives.

Wanda found beauty in the simple and meaningful things in life. She loved nature—especially gardening, birds, flowers, and trees—and found joy in cooking, baking, and expressing her creativity through painting and drawing. She was a gracious and loving host who made it a priority to gather her family together, especially for cherished holidays and Polish traditions. Her home was a place of warmth, celebration, and togetherness.

She was also known for her generosity and servant’s heart, giving charitably to her church, St. Henry, and to the tuition assistance program with St. Henry Elementary School.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at St. Henry Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass will immediately follow at 11:00 AM at the church.

Wanda will be remembered for her deep faith, her selfless love for her family, her generous spirit, and the beautiful traditions she passed down through the generations.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association (Online Donation) or to St. Henry Catholic School Tuition program where a donation can be mailed or dropped off to 3825 Dixie Hwy Elsmere, KY, 41018
