Vernon Register

Vernon Leroy Register Jr., 69, passed away Thursday, September 29 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence, KY. He was a principal, teacher, and coach, and employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. He was a graduate of Jacksonville University and Western Carolina University , as well as a passionate sailor and avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his father Vernon Leroy Register Sr. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Carole Register of Florence, KY; his daughter Amy Bales (Don) of Union, KY and grandsons Evan, Christopher and Matthew. He also leaves behind his mother Pansy Register, Oakridge, TN; his sister Anita Raymond of Oakridge, TN; and his brother Ronald Register of Gainesville, FL. The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday October 8, 2011 at 11:00am at Crescent Springs Baptist Church, 627 Buttermilk Pike, Crescent Springs, KY 41017. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Special Olympics, 105 Lakeview Court, Frankfort, KY 40601.
