Verniece Lukes

FLORENCE- Verniece Alma Lukes, 94, passed away Wednesday March 20th at Colonial Gardens in Florence. She was a clerical worker with King Machine Tool in Cincinnati for 12 years and enjoyed knitting and needlework in her spare time. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward Lukes in 2006. Survivors include her daughter Christine “Tina” (John) Gay of Florence KY, son Steven E. (Toy) Lukes of Cincinnati OH, granddaughters Heather Elliott (Chas) and Jennifer “Jenny” Gay both of Louisville KY. Visitation will be held Friday March 22nd from 6 to8 pm at Linnemann Funeral Home Burlington. Funeral services will be held Saturday March 23rd at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Highland Cemetery in Ft Mitchell. Memorials may be made to Colonial Gardens, 6910 Hopeful Road, Florence, KY 41042 or St Elizabeth Hospice 483 South Loop Dr. Edgewood KY 41017.
