Urszula Barczak
Urszula Barczak was more than a mom, sister, grandma, great grandma, aunt, friend and nurse; she was a child of God who lived her faith in all she did. She was a living example of how to be Christ to one another. She dedicated her life to her family and to nursing, literally keeping her nursing license active until the day she passed just in case she was ever needed! She could make friends with anyone, and oh, did she! Her parents having survived the concentration camps of Nazi Germany, she immigrated with them and her brothers to the US from Poland at age 6, and quickly learned how to overcome any obstacle put before her, but always with God by her side. “Offering it up” was something she did regularly to sacrifice what she had or that ice cream she really wanted for someone else or for a prayer intention; always putting other’s needs before herself. She was a survivor and a fighter, until the moment she took her last breath on August 8, 2024, surrounded by her family she loved more than anything else in this world. She was no doubt welcomed to heaven by her mother and father, Walter and Maria Barczak as well as her sisters-in-law, Cathy Barczak and Cherlyn Barczak, brother-in-law Paul Scherrer, nephew Nathan Barczak, and her beloved dog Champion. She leaves behind her daughters Heidi Frost (Jason) and Amy Walter, grandchildren Trajan, Nicklas and Miriam Walter, Hope Frost, Haleigh Hollin (Sam) as well as her great granddaughter Adaline Hollin. She also leaves behind brothers Irnie (Cherlyn), Syl (Barb), Ed, Hank (Barb), Andy, Stanley (Cathy), and Chris Barczak (Angela), sisters Theresa Barczak and Francesca Scherrer (Paul) as well as countless nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends. Though she will be greatly missed, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her. Ja kocham ciebie, Mamusiu! Bądź z Bogiem!
