Tributes
Thomas John McMahon III, 71, of Hebron, KY completed his earthly journey on Saturday, December 21, 2024. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Arkie, and his 5 children Meghan, Tommy, Dorie (Andrew Bernhard), Maria (Jacob Flaspohler), and Sean. He is also survived by his sisters Kathleen and Nancy as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Matthew, his parents Dolores and Thomas John Jr., sister and brother-in-law Mary and William Mathews, sister Michele Menninger, and brother-in-law William Quentin.
Tom retired from his career as an Account Executive at Kuehne + Nagel after 32 years. Tom was the biggest fan of the University of Notre Dame and followed many of their sports teams including his beloved Fighting Irish Football Team. He would always let you know that Notre Dame was God’s team. He now has the best seat in the house, alongside the Blessed Virgin Mary, to watch his Fighting Irish play on Saturdays in the Fall. Tom was a member of the Knights of Columbus as well as a Kentucky Colonel. Tom’s greatest loves in life were his wife and kids, God, and Notre Dame. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, and soon to be grandfather to future grandchildren Gianna Marie and Isabella Marie.
Visitation Services will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Covington on Saturday, December 28 from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with Mass at 12:00 p.m. Burial will take place after the Mass at Mother of God Cemetery in Covington, KY. with a reception to follow at the families home at 2:30 p.m.
