Thomas Aloysius Wood, 57, of Hebron, passed away on November 22, 2024.

Born on June 15, 1967, Tom lived a life devoted to family, hard work, and the open waters. A beloved husband, father, and grandfather, he cherished every moment spent with his family.

Tom found his calling as a towboat captain, a role he embraced with pride and passion for many years. More than just a career, it was a way of life that he poured his heart into, mentoring countless individuals and earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues. His dedication to the job and his crew left a lasting legacy on the waterways and in the hearts of those he worked with.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents: Francis and Margaret Wood, brother: Frank Wood and brother-in-law: Rick Stiene. Thomas is survived by his wife of 25 years, Regina Wood, daughters: Jessica Sterling, Jacqueline Wood, and Amber Jacob (Tom), sons: Benjamin Wood, Shayne Wood (Sabrina) and Lucas Wood (Sarah), 13 grandchildren, sister-in-law: Sally Wood, sister: Jean Dames (Rick)  sister: Mary Jo Stiene, brother: Greg Wood (Annie) brother: Ron Wood (Nicki), sister: Ruth Ann Weiss (Jack), and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024 from 5pm to 8pm at Linnemann Funeral Homes, Burlington. A second visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30 from 9:30am until 11am at St. Henry Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11am.
