A Lifetime Friend

It was with profound sadness that I received the news of Terrie’s passing. My deep condolences to her family.
She has been a dear friend for almost sixty-five years, and her passing will leave a void in my life and in the lives of all who knew her. I first got to know Terrie in the fall of 1961, when we were lab assistants for our high school biology teacher. Even then I knew she was a very special person. I was enthralled with her wit, her smile, her laugh and her essential kindness. A couple of years later I had the honor of taking her to the high school prom. Her father was a no nonsense Naval Aviator who made sure I understood when I would have her home. Upon returning Terrie home we stood awkwardly on her front porch and she gave me a chaste hug – no kiss, as the old man was probably watching through the peep hole.
We remained friends until her passing, and her wit and charm and warmth never left her. We spoke on the phone semi-regularly, and I will miss our chats about life, kids, grandkids, travel and golf. Terrie, everyone who has known you will miss you as much as I, and all of us are diminished with your loss. I think I may miss that kiss that never was more than anything.
Thank you for all the joy a true friendship can bring.
Vaya con dios.
With Love, Paul Williams

High School

Terrie was one of my best friends in high school and I saw her last November for our reunion. She looked great and we shared a lot of laughs and memories. I am heartbroken by her sudden death 💔 She was always in the best condition of any of us. Rest in peace my good friend. Gone too soon.

Tennis Friend

So very sorry for your loss. Terri was such a delightful presence on and off the court. I feel lucky to have known her. Wishing you comfort and peace during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Mary Dyas
