In Loving Memory of Teresa Boltz Sayers

June 10, 1962 – July 29, 2025

On July 29, 2025, Teresa Boltz Sayers, age 63, entered into eternal rest and into the arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ. Born on June 10, 1962, in Hustisford, Wisconsin, Teresa was the beloved daughter of Robert and Colleen (née Steele) Boltz. Her life was a testament to faith, kindness, and steadfast love—lived with purpose, joy, and grace.

Teresa earned her Bachelors degree in Education and a Masters Degree in Library Science and dedicated her career to serving others through her work at the Boone County Library, where she served faithfully until her retirement on January 1, 2025. A woman of brilliant intelligence, Teresa found joy in helping others grow through books and learning. Her passion for literacy and service left a lasting mark on her community.

She was united in marriage to Mark Sayers, her devoted husband and closest companion. Together they shared a life built on love and faith. Teresa was a source of strength and comfort to her family and a faithful friend to many.

She is survived by her loving husband, Mark Sayers; her parents, Robert and Colleen Boltz; and her brother, Robert (Tammy) Boltz. Teresa is also lovingly remembered by her in-laws: Myrna Sayers (wife of the late Russell Sayers), Barbara Antwood, Scott (Jamie) Sayers, and Tonya (Doug) Starnes. She leaves behind several nieces, nephews, great-nephews, and a great-niece, all of whom were touched by her steady kindness and deep love. Teresa was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Russell Sayers.

She will be deeply missed by her lifelong friend Michelle and her dear friend Sue. Teresa’s warmth and wisdom formed strong, lasting bonds with those around her.

A proud member of the Greater Cincinnati Jaguar Club. She shared that passion with her husband and many friends. She also loved reading murder mysteries, always ready for a good story and a clever twist.

To know Teresa was to know grace, thoughtfulness, humility, and intelligence—all grounded in her enduring faith in Christ. Her legacy of love and service continues in the lives she touched.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Linnemann Funeral Homes – Burlington location, beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 12:00 p.m. To view Teresa’s service live, please visit https://youtube.com/live/LJCdR-RwW9U?feature=share

Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Elizabeth Edgewood Hospice, in honor of the care and compassion they provided.

A gentle soul and a kind heart

For many years, Teresa was the moderator for our book club at the Boone County library. She was always supportive of everyone’s opinions and treated all of us with the utmost respect. Rest in peace, good and faithful servant.

Deepest sympathy

So sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May the good Lord give you comfort strength and peace.

Grateful Our Paths Crossed

Though we didn’t work together for very long, your presence left a lasting impression on me. You brought a spark—kindness, warmth, and light—that made even brief moments meaningful. I’m truly grateful our paths crossed, and I’ll carry that spark with me. My heart is with your loved ones and all who had the gift of knowing you. ~ Anastasia P
