Sylvia “Syl” Marlene Hartke
Sylvia “Syl” Marlene Hartke (nee Rose), 84, of Villa Hills, KY, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Rosedale Green. Sylvia was a business woman who helped grow their Servpro franchises with her husband, Wayne, for over 34 years. She was a devout Catholic. She loved spending her winters in Florida with her husband, sitting in the heat playing games. She also loved gatherings, especially spending time with her family-the more the merrier.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Roma Rose; her brother, Harry Rose; and her son Greg Hartke.
She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Wayne Hartke; her children, Keith Hartke, Doug (Kathleen) Hartke, Gina (Rob) Hopple, and Christy Hartke; and her siblings, Larry Rose, Terry (Pat) Rose, Pam Barnes, and Gary Rose.
Sylvia also leaves behind her loving grandchildren, Elizabeth, Joe, Dee, Bailey, Wayne, Kay, and Robin.
Visitation for Sylvia will be on Monday, July 29, 2024 from 4:00PM-7:00PM at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger, KY. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 12:05PM at Mother of God Church in Covington, KY. Please join us to celebrate her life. There will be a reception at the church after she is laid to rest at St. Mary Cemetery following mass.
