Stephen Patrick Massman, known to those he loved as Steve, passed away on July 16, 2024, in Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of 57. Born on May 29, 1967, in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. Steve grew to be a man of wit and warmth, characterized by his intelligence, sarcasm, caring nature, and love and dedication to his family and friends.

Steve graduated from St. Xavier High School before attending Miami University, where he furthered his education and prepared for a successful career. A lifelong fan of the Cincinnati Reds, Steve could often be found cheering on his favorite team; usually by listening in on his AM radio. His love for reading was insatiable, absorbing everything from novels to newspapers. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family, creating memories that would last a lifetime.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 31 years, Tiffany Massman, and his daughter, Sarah (Derek) Moser. Steve is also survived by his siblings, Dan Massman, Rob (Jessica) Kidwell, and Jen Kidwell, along with many nieces and nephews whom he loved so much. Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Schaber and his brother, John Massman.

,

Thank you!

In every phase of our lives, God (through the Holy Spirit) blesses us with impactful individuals whom we admire, enjoy, learn from & with, mutually respect, and treasure. From our first days together at St. Xavier, Steve befriended me (& many other lifelong “Men For Others”). As teens, together and as unique individuals, we matured intellectually, celebrated special events & new girl friends, shared challenging and exciting life lessons, and encouraged each other to follow our passions & dreams. I’m so very grateful and truly honored that we (& our loving families) remained lifelong friends (long distance from St. Louis)!

My family’s collective hearts ache for Tiffany, Sarah, Dan, Rob, and Jen. We faithfully trust that the Holy Spirit will comfort and bless them (& their families) and envelop them with the embracing love & support of all who know them. I also honor and celebrate Steve for the love, loyalty, humor, sarcasm, and support that he so willingly shared with us all…. as a grandson, son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and friend. Steve, my forever friend, THANK YOU for so richly blessing all of our lives every day, week, month and year!!

“May the Lord bless and keep you always.” May the Lord’s presence eternally shower you (& all who you love) with mercy, unconditional love, indescribable joy, everlasting peace, and divine grace!!

With unforgettable memories and loving lifelong friendship,

David (Susan, Alex, Mo) and our entire Moellering Family
