Sr. Ruth Yost, OSB

Sister Ruth Yost, OSB, died peacefully, Tuesday, Sept. 13 at St. Walburg Monastery, Villa Hills at age 86.
A Benedictine sister for over 61 years, Sr. Ruth served as prioress of the community, teacher, nurse and assistant administrator of Madonna Manor. Her sister, Joan and brother, Joseph preceded her in death. Sr. Ruth is survived by her sister-in-law, Wanda Fischer Yost of Mandeville, Louisiana and nieces and nephews: Catherine Yost, MD, Diana Gegenheimer, Rebecca Burke, David Yost, Paul Yost and Stephen Yost. Vigil service will be held at 7:00 pm, Sunday September 18, 2011 and the Mass of Christian Burial at 5:20 pm, Monday, September 19, 2011 at St. Walburg Monastery.
