Sr. Joseph Ruschmann

Sister Joseph Ruschmann, O.S.B., 98, died Monday, Dec. 28 at St. Walburg Monastery in Villa Hills, Ky.

She was a cook at St. Walburg Monastery from 1937-1956 and 1960-61; Villa Madonna College 1956-1957; Marydale Retreat House 1957-1960; Holy Cross Convent 1961-1963 and Madonna Manor for 1964-1986.

She was preceded in death by her brother, William Ruschmann and sister, Clara C.D.P.

She is survived by sisters, Agnes Rumpker of Cincinnati, Ohio, Theresa Humpert of Taylor Mill, Ky., Freda Schmitz, Bernadette Cunningham, and Rita Keener of Madonna Manor; Sisters Agnes, O.S.B. and David O.S.B.; brother, Joseph Ruschmann of Cincinnati, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

Vigil service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 29, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Walburg Monastery.

Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, Dec. 30, at 5:20 p.m. at St. Walburg Monastery.

Burial will be held Thursday at St. Walburg Monastery Cemetery in Villa Hills.
