Sister Clarita Anneken, OSB, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 8 at St. Walburg Monastery at age 96. A Benedictine sister for over 78 years, Sr. Clarita served as teacher and principal at St. Henry High School, Holy Cross High School Villa Madonna Academy. She is preceded in death by her parents John and Clara (Robisch) Anneken , her sisters, Sr. Gemma, Sr. Juanita, and Rita Anneken and her brothers, Howard, Edward and Jack Anneken. Sr. Clarita is survived by her sister, Sr. M. Xavier Anneken, OSB, many nieces and nephews, students, friends and her Benedictine community. Vigil service will be held at 7:00 pm, Monday, September 14 followed by visitation until 9:00 pm and the Mass of Christian Burial at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, September 15 at St. Walburg Monastery.
