Sr. Betty Cahill, OSB

Sr. Betty Cahill, OSB, 83, faithful member of St. Walburg Monastery, died on October 23. She was born on Jul 11, 1931 to the late James C. and Georgia M. Hummel Cahill. She is survived by her brother Bill (Donna), her sisters Georgia (Birdie) Michels, Rita (Ritzie) and Geraldine (Dolly) and her sister-in-law, Ginny (Pete) and many nieces, nephews, friends and members of St. Walburg Monastery. Sr. Betty served as an elementary teacher in the Diocese of Covington and outreach ministry in Appalachia. At the monastery she mowed the lawns, worked the flowers bed and served as novice directress, community secretary and archivist. Vigil/Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 28th at 7:00pm at St. Walburg Monastery. Funeral will be held in the monastery chapel on Wednesday, Oct. 29th at 5:20.
