Shirley Giese

Shirley Mae Giese, (nee Hauenstein) 88, died 3-13-15. Born in the Clifton neighborhood of Cincinnati, OH, she graduated from Hughes High School in 1945. She married Frank in 1946 and raised her family in Bridgetown. She was a 60 year member of St. Jude Parish. She worked into her 70’s for the Community Press and volunteered at Hoxworth Blood Center and the Green Township Senior Center. She loved playing cards, attending dinners and dances at the Senior Center, and making occasional visits to the “boats” to place a wager. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank in 1997.She was a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to son Frank (Donna) and their children Peter, Jenna (Skip Young),Andy, Jeff (Christine), and Matt of Villa Hills, KY; daughter Leslie Leverone (Jack),and their children Francine Taggart(Mike) and their children Joe and John of Cinti., OH, Veronica Bonaventura(Ryan) and their children Gabriella and Anthony of Cinti., OH, Jack of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Anna, of Cinti., OH; son James (Gail) and their son Erik Sizemore of Cinti.,OH. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held by the family and residents of Madonna Manor, Villa Hills, KY, where she resided for the last 1 ½ years.
