Shirley Ann Sipe Caudill

Obituary
Condolences

Shirley Ann Sipe Caudill, 83, of LaGrange, KY, formerly of Erlanger, KY, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Born June 29, 1939 in Covington, KY, she lived in Northern KY, Campbell, Boone, Kenton, Owen and Oldham counties. Shirley was best known for family values and her commitments to her family, friends in Perry Park Resort and LaGrange, KY communities, and her ANDP 1958 High School Classmates. Her attention to details and decision making was always unique and over the top especially with the many social and business events she chaired.

Shirley was a classy, well-dressed lady with an amazing sense of humor and a personality bigger than life. She made everyone around her feel special. Her strong will and determination was admired by all. Shirley accomplished everything she set her mind to, with accomplishments too numerous to mention. Her professional career with the Department of Defense Air National Guard and Department of the Treasury IRS, where she retired from after 28 years of service.

Although she enjoyed her work family, her Perry Park Friends and her ADNP HS classmates, she truly enjoyed her retirement with her partner, John Hill; her children, Julie (Kenny) Johnson and James David Caudill Jr.; her grandchildren, Kenny Johnson Jr (Nancy Smith), Ben (Adrienne) Johnson, Brian (Andrea) Johnson, and Nichole (Jonathan) Gaines; and her 10 great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren.

A memorial mass for Shirley will be on Saturday March 25, 2023 at 10:30AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church 602 Sparta Pike, Warsaw, KY 41095. Burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Erlanger, Ky.

In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions can be sent to Newport Central Catholic High School 13 Carothers Rd. Newport, KY 41071.

Our Fearless Leader

Shirley a fellow ANDP classmate lead us through the years with reunions with laughter and fun that only Shirley could bring. We loved her dearly and she was always so full of life it is hard to believe she is gone. In school I remember her as quite the athlete. She was a good volleyball player; in case her grandchildren didn’t know that. I know I and the ANDP class of 1958 loved and will miss her dearly.

Shirley Caudill

We met Shirley and John at Lakes Edge Condominiums in Port Charlotte Florida. She was definitely the life of the Party! We enjoyed being around them. We felt connected with them immediately because we are from Kentucky too. We will miss her. Mike and Missy Ryan

Shirley Caudill

Shirley- her name alone brings a smile, a joy , and an anticipation of fun that will light up your heart. Knowing her for an hour or a life time- she included you into every possible activity than could be worked into the time available- and she did it with great caring. Everyone was absolutely special to Shirley in the most genuine way possible.
John is fortunate to have so many wonderful memories to fill his thoughts daily- hourly. May God fill the hearts of John, and all the family, with His love and the special love of Shirley.
Blessings, Fred and Detsi Woerner
