Sarah Ann Maupin Collins Varner

Sarah Ann Maupin Collins Varner, 85, passed away peacefully at Gallatin Healthcare on Sunday, December 17, 2023.  Sarah was born in Sidell, KY on May 22, 1938 to the late Jesse and Dora McDaniel Maupin.  During her life, Sarah worked many jobs her last being at Woodspoint Care Center.  She was a member of Florence Baptist Church, an avid bowler, and loved yard sales, flea markets, country music, and gospel music.  In addition to her parents, Sarah was preceded in death by her first husband Pearl Collins, second husband Frank Varner, grandson Billy Ray Collins Jr., grandson Justin Collins, brother Pete Maupin, sister Clara Johnson, sister-in-law Brenda Maupin, sister-in-law Jane Maupin, sister-in-law Mayme Claypool, brother-in-law Steve Jones, and brother-in-law Joe Claypool.  She is survived by her son Billy Collins (Karen) of Sparta, KY, daughter Helen Bryant (Alan) of Owenton, KY, son Larry Collins (Pamela) of Apollo Beach, FL, daughter Lisa Arthur (Brian) of Glencoe, KY, grandchildren: Brian Collins (Anna), Travis Collins (Jamie), Candi Bennett, Beth Bowles (Seth), Jessica Collins, Jennifer Meredith, Rocky Arthur (Desaree), Alicia Arthur (Marty), Jeremy Arthur (Brooke), and Mallory Rowe (Zane), numerous great grandchildren, sister Loretta Steele (James) of Richmond, IN, brother Lawrence Maupin (Sally) of Richmond, IN, brother Robert Maupin (Hanner) of Richmond, IN, brother James Maupin of Richmond, IN, and sister Becky Williams (Fred) of Richmond, IN.  A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 10am until 12 noon at Linnemann Funeral Home in Burlington, KY.  A funeral service will immediately follow the visitation.  The interment will be at Sand Run Cemetery in Hebron, KY.
