Sandra Lang Horton
Sandra Lang Horton, 70, passed away with her loving family by her side on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, KY. Sandy was born on June 25, 1952, in Covington, KY, the daughter of the late Ralph and Dorothy Pressler Lang.
Sandy grew up in Elsmere and graduated from St. Henry High School. She married the love of her life, Dennis Horton on September 26th, 1970, and started a family. They had three wonderful children and enjoyed raising them together. Sandy was a kind soul who was always worried about others needs before her own. She was a hard worker who was dedicated to her job at the IRS. Sandy valued working for the government and had a lot of compassion for what she did. She enjoyed vacationing, flowers, reading and even going fishing when she had time. Sandy was a great cook and loved to cook for her kids and grandkids. Her greatest joy was her family. Sandy was a wife, mother and maw-maw who will be missed beyond measure.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Ralph and Dorothy Lang; three brothers, Mike Lang, Donnie Lang, and Joe Lang and her sister, Patsy Lang Jefferson.
Those left here to carry on her legacy are her husband of 52 years, Dennis Horton, children; Chrissy Horton, Danny (Andrea) Horton, Missy Horton; grandchildren, Beth Kafka, Samantha Villarreal, John Horton; great-grandchildren, Brantley Kafka, Bryson Kafka, Bobby Villarreal, Malia Villarreal, Chase Villarreal; sister, Teri Riggs and many other extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Home 30 Commonwealth Ave. Erlanger, KY 41018. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at 12:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Home in Erlanger. Sandy will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in Sandy’s name to Boys Town National Headquarters 14100 Crawford St. Boys Town, NE 68010.
