Ruth “Ruthie” Barnett

Ruth Ann “Ruthie” Barnett, 82, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 29, 2024 at her Burlington, KY residence.  Ruthie was born in Covington, KY on February 21, 1942 to the late George and Marguerite (Cayton) Gier.  She was a retired business manager for Joseph Cadillac.  In addition to her parents, Ruthie was also preceded in death by her son Eric Barnett, brother Joseph Gier, and sister Martha Kroth.  She is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years James Barnett, daughter Julie Lancaster (David), step-daughter Debra Imholt, step-son Mark Barnett, grandchildren: Jason Imholt, Tony Imholt, Adele Fabino, Jenny Lancaster, and Josiah Lancaster, 4 great grandchildren, sister Kimberly Gier, and many nieces and nephews.  A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 6pm until 8pm at Linnemann Funeral Home in Burlington, KY.  The burial will be private at Belleview Baptist Cemetery.
