Ruth Maifeld

Ruth Mary Maifeld, 88, of Ft. Mitchell, passed away on Thursday November 25th at the St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood. Mrs. Maifeld was the consummate mother and wife, and a longtime member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Ft. Mitchell. She was pre-deceased by her husband Melvin Maifeld in January of this year. She is survived by her daughters: Mary Jo Kasack of Covington, Sharon Smith of Park Hills, M. Jean Holbroook of Edgewood, Cathy Rudy of Edgewood, Cindy Byerly of Crescent Springs, and Melissa Meyer of Versailles, KY, and her son, Jim Maifeld of Edgewood. She is also survived by her sister, Anna Marie Carl of Ft. Wright, and 19 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Ft. Mitchell on Monday, November 29th from 8:00-10:00 AM. Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow the visitation at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell.
