Roseann “Rosie” Crowe

Obituary
Condolences

Roseann “Rose” Crowe, age 84, of Burlington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Rose was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, whose kind and nurturing spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Born on June 7, 1940, Rose spent her life in service to others, most notably through her work as a nurse’s aide for many years. She had an innate ability to care for those around her, making her a cherished figure in the lives of many. A woman of deep faith, Rose was a devout Catholic and a long-time member of Mary Queen of Heaven Church, where she actively participated for 55 years. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she took great comfort in the support and fellowship of her church community. Rose’s greatest pride and joy were her family. She was the beloved wife of Art Crowe for 63 years, having married him on September 16, 1961, at St. Stephen’s Church. Together, Rose and Art built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to one another. Their bond was a testament to the strength and beauty of their relationship. Rose’s three daughters were her greatest treasures, but that love only grew as she became a grandmother and great-grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and they brought her immeasurable joy and fulfillment in her later years. In addition to her family, Rose had a passion for travel, particularly to the Gulf Coast of Florida. She cherished her yearly trips to the beach, finding peace and joy in the sunshine, the waves, and the time spent with her loved ones. Rose will be remembered for her gentle heart, her strength of character, and her unwavering devotion to her family and faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Marie Scheben; her sister, Mary Aseere; her brother, Victor Scheben; and sister in law, Carole Scheben. Rose is survived by her loving husband, Art Crowe; daughters, Cathy (Ron) Darpel, Lisa (Jeremy) Hill, and Danielle (Sara) Moss; her grandchildren, Courtney (Bryan) Baldwin, Tyler (Rene) Darpel, and Kasey Hill; her great-grandchildren, Piper and Emersyn Rose, Emma, Alex, and Jordyn James, and Jayden and Lane Baldwin; her brothers, Tom Scheben and Don Scheben, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on December 20, 2024, from 11:15am until 12:15pm at Mary Queen of Heaven Church, followed by a Mass at 12:15pm.

Rest in peace, Rose. You will never be forgotten.

Aunt Roseann

Uncle Art, Cathy, Lisa and Danielle – I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Roseann’s passing. My heart breaks for all of you during this difficult time as I know you will miss her greatly. She loved to laugh and was always so proud of you girls!! My fondest memory of Aunt Roseann was her and Uncle Art’s visit to Florida (with my parents) to see me – she loved being at the beach sunning and swimming in the ocean – you knew it was her happy place!! I pray she is now resting peacefully.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers, sending love and my deepest condolences.

Love,
Lori Crowe
