Rose T. Hitch (nee Haskamp)

Rose Theresa Hitch (nee Haskamp), 76, of Florence, KY, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Mercy Anderson Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. Rose was born on October 20, 1947, in Covington, KY to Eugene and Ursula Haskamp.

Rose grew up in Crescent Springs, KY and worked in sales at Macy’s. Beyond her professional life, Rose found great joy in dancing. She was an avid ballroom and swing dancer, often accompanied by her dear companion, Bill. Together, they graced dance floors four nights a week, sharing laughter, rhythm, and cherished moments. In addition to her passion for dance, Rose most recently enjoyed exploring new places that brought her immense happiness in her later years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Ursula Haskamp; her husband, Eddie Hitch; siblings: Eugene Haskamp (Betty), Noel Hoppenjans, Thomas Haskamp (Judy) and Richard Haskamp.

Rose is survived by her siblings: Mary Bishop (Carl), Gary Haskamp, Paul Haskamp, Rita Stanton (Pat), brother-in-law, Jim Hoppenjans and sister-in-law, Nancy Haskamp; her companion, William Jobe; many nieces and nephews, as well as many great nieces and nephews whom she treated as her own.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial, 12:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2470 Lorraine Ct., Crescent Springs, KY 41017. Burial will immediately follow in Mother of God Cemetery in Latonia, KY.
