Rosalie Marie Ashton, 73, of Erlanger, Kentucky, passed away on August 9, 2025, surrounded by her family, who were the center of her world.
Born on September 24, 1951, in Covington, Rosalie was the daughter of the late Theodore “Ted” Bergman and Marie “Micky” Bergman (née Cromer). She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother William “Whiz” Bergman, her nephew Bart Bergman, her great nephew Michael PierIgnacio Iadipaolo, and her former husband, David Ashton Jr.
Rosalie is survived by her children, Julie Ashton and Matthew Ashton (Nicole Norfleet); her brothers, Mark Bergman and Barry Bergman; and her nieces and nephews—Becky MacDonald (Todd), Katie Iadipaolo (Adam), Ben Bergman, Jeremy Ashton (Jeanne), Sarah Charnitsky, Mandy Milam—as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews who brought her so much joy.
Rosalie dedicated over 30 years to nursing, a career she was deeply passionate about. She had a gift for caring for others, and her nurturing spirit extended far beyond her job—touching the lives of family, friends, and everyone she met.
She was known for her sharp wit and unique sense of humor that could brighten anyone’s day. Her stubborn streak, inherited from her family, made her as strong and loyal as they come. Rosalie’s love for life also included her passion for travel—whether exploring new corners of the U.S. or embarking on international adventures, she treasured every new place and experience she encountered.
Rosalie loved the simple things too—playing cards (especially her favorite, Hand and Foot), capturing moments with her camera, and finding beauty in nature. She took great joy in documenting family events, always making sure to preserve those memories for everyone.
Her legacy of love, laughter, and care will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories, filled with moments of joy, humor, and a sense of adventure.
