Robert Phelps

Robert S. Phelps, age 88, died Monday at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Hospice in Edgewood. He was a long time resident of Norwood, Ohio and more recently lived in Florence and Erlanger, KY. He was a devoted Christian attending Greenview Baptist Church, and was a proud WWII veteran. Robert was a retired machine operator with Husky Burndy Company. He was survived by his wife Evalene Phelps of Erlanger; a son David Phelps (Ginger) of Jefferson City, MO; 2 daughters Charlotte Ploetner (Billy) of Bagdad, KY and Beverly Simon (William) of Florence, KY. Robert was the loving grandfather of Martin Ploetner (Sara), Todd Ploetner (Amber), Captain Wm. Kyle Simon, Kent Simon (Emily), Samuel Phelps (Lauren) and Benjamin Phelps; and the great grandfather of Andrew Ploetner, Patrick Ploetner , Lydia Simon and Miles Simon. He was preceded in death by his father Robert S. Phelps; his mother and stepfather Bertha Bray Phelps Thrasher and Lloyd Thrasher; 2 sisters Hilma J. Edwards and Doris Boyd Crawford; and a brother Tommy Lee Phelps. Visitation will be Friday May 10th, 11 A.M. -1 P.M. at Linnemann Family Funeral Home, Burlington followed by the funeral service at 2 P.M., at Greenview Baptist Church in Florence. Burial will be Saturday at 2 P.M. in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Hail, KY. There will be a brief visitation Saturday from
