Robert Nienaber

Robert B. Nienaber, 88 of Erlanger, KY, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence on Thursday, June 19, 2014. Mr. Nienaber was a self employed builder with Nienaber and Sons. He was a member of St. Henry Church, and proudly served our country for 30 years as a Master Gunner Sgt. in the Marine Corps. He belonged to the American Legion Post # 20 and VFW # 6423 in Elsmere where he served as Commander and Finance Officer. He also was very active in Toys for Tots. Mr. Nienaber is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Nienaber of Erlanger, KY, Children, Cheri (Chuck) Knapmyer of Erlanger, KY, Tony (Lynn) Nienaber of Hebron, KY, David (Peggy) Nienaber of Union, KY, Patti (John) Kreimer of Erlanger, KY, step daughters Connie (Randall) Lawson and Patty (Jim) Weaver, sisters, Carol, Margie, Joyce and brother Tommy. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Amanda, Sarah, Landan, Brittney, Mason, Audrey, Jorden, Sydney, Jordan, Michael, Rhett, Terry, Sam, Danny, Jamie, Brad, Trish, Troy and numerous great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 24, 2014 from 10:00am to 1:00pm at Linnemann Family Funeral Homes, Erlanger with a Catholic Blessing at 1:00pm. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell.
