Robert Clore
Robert L., “Bob” Clore, 83, of Burlington died November 5th, 2010, at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit in Edgewood. He leaves his wife Zulla Courtney Clore, sons Richard Alan Clore of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Brian Robert Clore of St. Louis, Missouri, stepsons Kerry L. Courtney of Northville, Michigan and Timothy W. Courtney of Florence, Kentucky. He also leaves 7 grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his first wife Mary Alice Poston
Clore in 1976. Bob was a lifelong resident of Boone County, Kentucky. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1944, served in the U.S Navy during the last 2 years of World War II and graduated the University
of Cincinnati in 1949. After graduation he started two businesses, Clore’s Modern Appliances and Furniture and Robert L. Clore Real Estate Company, currently Clore and Burcham Real Estate Company. Bob was a devoted member of the Burlington Baptist Church for 73 years where he had also served as a
deacon since 1962. He enjoyed traveling, antique collecting, tennis, boating and golf. Visitation will be at the Burlington Baptist Church on Wednesday November 10th from 10:00am to 12:30pm followed by the funeral service with burial immediately after in Burlington Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Burlington Baptist Church, 3031 Washington St., Burlington, KY 41005.
