Robert “Bob” J. Richardson
Robert J. Richardson (Bob), 92, of Edgewood, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021, after a week-long stay at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Bob was an extremely hardworking, self-employed general contractor for most of his career who always put his family first as provider and head of the household. He took pride in keeping a beautiful home with his wife Juanita, who he was incredibly devoted to through six decades of marriage and countless home renovations. His daughters and grandchildren fondly remember many visits on Bob’s screened-in porch where he sat on his porch swing and held court while surrounded by family. He always had a joke to tell and a sense of humor appreciated by all. He never met a stranger and had a great interest in everyone he met. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, a boating enthusiast, and a scooter aficionado. Bob was a gun trader and collector who couldn’t pass up a good flea market or gun show. He was usually accompanied by his dog Foxy, one of several constant companions in his later years. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Maria Richardson, his wife Juanita Berryman Richardson, his brother Billie Richardson, his grandson Tyler Stephenson, and his brother-in-law C.T. Hall. He is survived by his three daughters: Melanie Alford (Larry) of Westfield Center, Ohio, Paula Schwarte (Jeff) of Edgewood, Kentucky, and Vicki Stephenson (Randy) of Independence, Kentucky, as well as his sister Donna Hall of The Villages, Florida. Bob also leaves behind his six grandchildren: Aaron Alford (Monica), Amanda Watanakunakorn (Paul), Andreya Wellman (Caleb), Natalie Farnsworth (Aaron), Lauren Hill (Patrick) and Brandon Schwarte, and five great-grandchildren: Austin, Alexis, Evelyn, Joshua, and Finn. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, services for Bob will be private. His funeral service will be live-streamed on Monday, January 18, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. via Linnemann Funeral Live: https://youtu.be/g-3zOiHlLcE. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky. Friends and family are encouraged to post memories of Bob to the Linnemann Funeral Home website as a way to honor his life.
