Heartfelt Condolences to Sandy, Jeff, Todd and family

My heart was saddened when I learned the news about Bobs passing. For many years Bob and I were competitors, but in 2010 we became “teammates” after Konecranes acquired our family businesses.

One of the benefits of the acquisition was the opportunity to get to know Bob and become friends.

The company that he and Sandy founded, King Tool Company was one of the top machine tool rebuilding, retrofitting and service organizations in the US.

Because of Bobs vision and his commitment to excellence, he was able to provide employment to so many families and help them make their own dreams come true.

Bob had a big heart and always viewed his employees as extensions of his family.

I feel blessed to call Bob a friend. He was one of the most gifted and talented men I have had the good fortune of knowing.

There wasn’t anything Bob couldn’t build or fix, and he was always willing to teach and share his experiences with others.

I will always be grateful to Bob for introducing my son Buddy to the person who would eventually become his wife, Ashley Snyder. This marriage resulted in the addition of a wonderful “daughter in love” and the birth of four amazing grandchildren.

Bob was a patriot and a leader with strong convictions in a world that desperately needs men who are willing to have the courage to stand up for what they believe in.

Bob had a big heart for children and frequently asked me how my daughter Tonya, who has “special needs” was doing and that meant a lot to me.

The world has lost a man who leaves a huge legacy behind that has touched so many lives in a positive way and will never be forgotten.

My prayers are with Sandy and the entire King family during this difficulty time. I thank God for the privilege of knowing Bob!

Harold Schoch
