Richard Callahan

Richard J. Callahan, 80 of Villa Hills, KY, passed away on Feb. 3, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Callahan was an office manager with New York Life Ins. for 25 years, retiring; and later worked for Union Central Life Ins. He was a longtime member of St. Joseph Church and the Holy Name Society. He was his grandchildrens’ #1 fan, attending most extra-curricular activities. Mr. Callahan was preceded in death by his daughter, Bev Lubbers and brother, Jim Callahan. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Callahan of Villa Hills, KY, son, Michael Callahan, DVM of Amelia, OH, daughters, Mary Beth (Jerry) Endicott of Villa Hills, Patty (Dan) Schneider of Edgewood, KY and son-in-law, David Lubbers of Villa Hills, KY. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Erin (Kris) Karwisch, Kevin Lubbers, Eric, Kristen and Adam Schneider, and great grandson, Max Karwisch. Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 9, 2015 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Linnemann Family Funeral Homes, Erlanger. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015 at 10:30am at St. Joseph Church, Crescent Springs, KY. Burial will follow at St. Stephen Cemetery in Ft. Thomas, KY. Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Elizabeth Hospice.
