To Linda and family
I was so sorry to read about Renny in The Blade. Not only was he a fraternity brother of Jim’s, but we shared good times as sorority sisters. Please know I will be praying for you and your family during these difficult days.
Sincere condolences, Lois Markwood
Condolences for the Family of Reynold Gerson
My heart goes out to you, Linda, and your family. I am sure Renny will truly be missed. He was definitely one of the “good guys” . Renny was a true friend back in our days at the University of Toledo. Every now and then, after we all graduated, I would run into him and we would laugh about those days. We had some fun times. I know that Renny loved Florida. We used to laugh about Cocoa Beach. I thought it was ironic that Jerry and Marian Hoffer wound up with a beachfront condo in the same building where my husband and I had a unit. While I am currently back in Toledo helping my brother care for our mother at our old home on Charlestown Ave., my home is actually in Cape Canaveral, FL now. I will be thinking about you and your family, Linda, whenever I look out at the ocean. Prayers for all of you…Maryalice Fotoples Barnaby
Peace My Friend & Family
Went to high school and college with Renny and, as pictured, worked with him at Toledo Tent Company. While we lost touch over the years, I will always consider him as a dear and meaningful friend. He was one of the good ones. Rest in peace “Tent Man” and my friend. Peace and blessing to your family during this time and always.

Sympathy
My sympathies to the family of Renny Gerson. I was glancing through the obituaries in the Toledo Blade and saw the last name. Upon further reading, discovered that Renny’s mother Alice and my late mother were sorority sisters in Toledo. I knew some of the children of the sorority and may have met Renny over 60 years ago in Toledo. I’m sorry to read of his passing. It is truly a small world!

Renny Gerson – We don’t say goodbye
My heart, thoughts, & prayers are with you Linda, Carrie, and your entire family. I will miss Renny very much. Our families have shared so many good times over the years from our vacation trips, Halloweens at your house, and boating get togethers. I loved listening to Renny and my dad, Jim, talk current events. And debate who had the better football team that year, OSU or UM! Renny always tried to help where he could. I was appreciative and thankful for his insight on the engineering field, as I was deciding whether to pursue that study & career.
May Renny’s loving memory bring you peace, comfort, and strength. He will live on, always close to our hearts. We don’t say goodbye.
Again, I wish we could of been there with you all this weekend.
Love always, Dan
