Peter “Pete” Lucarelli

Obituary
Condolences

With shattered hearts, we share the passing of our beloved son, husband, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, and best friend, Pete, a man whose presence was larger than life itself and whose love and laughter will echo in our hearts forever.

Born on March 7, 1985, Pete lived life with passion, honesty, and an unmistakable authenticity that exemplified a leader.

Pete’s world centered around those who meant everything to him—his wife, Cassie, the love of his life. His deeply devoted and loving mother, Pam, whose bond and depth only a mother and son can share, his sisters, Mandy and Rachael, each holding a unique and cherished place in his heart. Pete also loved his dog Marley and had a compassion for animals, actively supporting organizations dedicated to their protection.

Pete shared an unbreakable bond with his dad, Pete Sr., and his stepmom, Shannon. They loved him fiercely. Their connection was deep, and constant, sharing countless incredible times together as a family with moments that felt easy and real. Every gathering, every conversation, and every memory was something to hold onto forever.

Pete’s passion for the things he loved was undeniable. He was a huge sports fan, but his true passion was as Formula One fan, especially Team Ferrari. Traveling to Grand Prix’s was one of his greatest joys, where his unmatched excitement and energy came alive.  His career as a professional camera shader allowed him to stay close to the sports world he loved, blending his work with his passions.

Pete loved to travel, experience new adventures, and was always eager to share a great meal with family and friends or prepare an exotic meal at home with his wife, Cassie. He embraced life fully, traveling to new places, exploring Yellowstone National Park, relaxing on a beach, spending time with his Dad on their North Carolina property, or four-wheeling through the Colorado mountains.

Pete lived authentically. He spoke his truth, wore his heart on his sleeve, and was truly a one of a kind soul who lived fully, loved hard, and left a mark that will never fade. Pete did not take love lightly. When he laughed, it filled the room. It was big, genuine, and completely infectious.  The meaningful bond with his cousins, Dino and Mike, and his brothers-in-law, Chris and Chad were more than family, they were his people sharing laughter, and some of his most cherished memories. Though he resided in Louisville, Pete carried strong connections to his Northern, KY community throughout his life.

More than anything, Pete had a heart that was pure and tender. He carried the precious and sensitive heart of a child, connecting to others in a way that made each person feel seen. He didn’t just meet people, he touched them. Every single person who crossed his path felt his presence, his warmth, and his authenticity.

Pete is survived by his beloved wife of 10 years, Cassie Lucarelli (née Bondick); his mother, Pam (Victor) Victoria; his father, Peter (Shannon) Lucarelli; and his sisters, Amanda Lucarelli and Rachael Victoria. He is also survived by his parents-in-law, Paul (Gina) Bondick; grandparent-in-law, Bob (Claire) Moriconi; brothers-in-law, Chad (Ann) Bondick and Chris (Loubna) Bondick; along with many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Nicholas (Shirley A.) Lucarelli, and his maternal grandparents, Glen (Judy) Burns.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Blessed Sacrament Church, 2409 Dixie Highway, Fort Mitchell, Kentucky. A eulogy will take place just prior to the Mass of Christian Burial at 6:00 PM at the church. A reception will follow in the church undercroft. Pete will be entombed at St. Mary Cemetery in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Kentucky Humane Society, 1000 Lyndon Lane, Suite B, Louisville, KY 40222, or to DCCH Center for Children and Families, 75 Orphanage Road, Fort Mitchell, KY 41017.

Prayers & Love

Gina, Chris and Family,
I offer you my deepest sympathy in dealing with this tragic death. I know what a beautiful family you all have and I offer my prayers and love to all of you.
May you be consoled with the faith that Pete is in the loving arms of our awesome God.
Years ago when a CCH student was killed, I remember the celebrant of mass say that we do to God when we have done our mission on earth. Pete must have been a wonderful person who left his love on earth. (If we are still here, we have to continue to spread God’s love to everyone who is in our life.
My prayers are with you. Dick Maile

To Pam Victoria

Dear Pam, to you and all of your family, I am so sorry to hear about your son Pete passing. I will keep you in my prayers at this most difficult time. I would be happy to help out in the undercroft or wherever you might need me.
Your son Pete and my son Peter were friends back in high school. Sincerely, Betty DeVita.

Pete Remembered Fondly

We didn’t know Pete very long or very well but we do know his kindness and his enthusiasm. We do know he helped our family completely enjoy the holidays this past year. His personality and laughter was contagious. The fun he created and experienced with our grandchildren by communicating with them and showing genuine interest in them was heart warming. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Cassie and the entire family – may God bless. Vince & Theresa Monardo

…with a heavy heart

Susan and I offer our deepest condolences to Pete’s family. Expressly, Cassie, Mandy, Pete Sr, and Shannon. Pete was the biggest personality in every room and simply hearing his laughter would make your day brighter. He will be greatly missed by everyone who ever knew him. Rest peacefully, Pete.
