Paula Joan McMahon

Paula Joan McMahon (née Williams), age 87, of Burlington, Kentucky, passed away on April 2, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, surrounded by the love of her family.

Paula was born to the late John and Una (née Lacey) Williams. She shared a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Richard “Rich” McMahon, with whom she was married for 60 wonderful years—a love story that her family will forever cherish, though it never feels like enough time.

Together, Paula and Rich made their home in St. Louis for many years before settling in Kentucky in 1972. She worked faithfully as a data processor for ADP until her retirement in 2000.

Paula was a devoted member of Mary Queen of Heaven Church for many years. She loved to cheer on the Cincinnati Reds and Kentucky Wildcats, spend time with her family, and enjoy a fresh Diet Coke from McDonald’s. Above all, she was known for her genuine kindness. As her husband lovingly described her, Paula was a “truly kind-hearted person.”

Her greatest pride and joy was her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Paula is survived by her devoted husband, Rich McMahon; her sons, Tim (Carrie, née Nunery) McMahon and Eric McMahon; her grandchildren, Michael McMahon, Ryan (Jessica) McMahon, and Jennifer McMahon; many nieces and nephews; and her very best friend, Doris Grady.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Susie Strassburger.

Friends and family will be welcomed from 11:30am-12:00pm at Mary Queen of Heaven Church on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00. Entombment will take place at Mother of God Cemetery in Latonia, KY.
