Paul Moore
Paul Moore of Middletown, OH passed away Sunday, October 16th at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Mabel Moore for 64 years. Dear father of Edward (Terri) Moore, Florence, KY; Timothy (Diane) Moore, Hamilton, OH; Vicki Holland, Middletown, OH; and Paul “Chip” Moore, Hamilton, OH.
Cherished grandfather to Jennifer (Robert) Bell, Stephanie Moore, Lynette, Tim Jr., Tina, Lorilee, Christopher (Lori) Moore, Sean (Katina) Dezarn, Michael, Teresa, Jamie, and Lisa Marie. Great-grandfather of 19. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by father Roll Moore and mother Charity. Eight brothers and one sister.
Dad fought in World War II assigned to the 1st Infantry Divison from Algeria-French Morocco North Africa, Tunisia through Sicily, Italy and Normany, France. He also landed at Ohmaha Beach on the D-Day invasion. In which, the 1st Infantry Division combined with the 29th Infantry Division suffered over 4000 casualties killed, wounded or missing. Paul’s Decorations and Citations were many and all by Special Orders or General Orders and the most noted was his EAME Theater Ribbon W/4 Bronze Stars, and Good Conduct Ribbon per SO#46, HQ 32nd FA Battalion/ 43 Citations. His M.O.S was an Anti-Tank Crewman.
Visitation Wednesday, October 19, 4:00-7:00p.m. at Delhi Christian Center, 260 Fairbanks Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45204. Funeral service Thursday, October 20, 11:00a.m. at the church. Interment at Highlands Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, KY.
