Paul M. Lecture, 80, of Burlington, KY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at St. Elzabeth Hospital in Florence, KY. Paul was a computer analyst for decades, and in 1998 he completed his training for Lay Pastoral Ministry for the Diocese of Covington.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Eleanor Lecture, and his brothers, Tom and Ray Lecture.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Joeline (nee Adams) Lecture; daughters Kelly (Bill) McCluskey of Atlanta, GA, and Katie (Michael) Meyer of Burlington, KY; his sister, Barb Dennis; and his sister-in-law, Jo Ann Lecture. Paul also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Gabby and Billy McCluskey, and Michael, Maggie, and Christopher Meyer.

Paul was a man who truly “walked the talk” of his faith and no one could meet him without knowing that to be true. He had enormous compassion and could touch even strangers’ hearts with disarming kindness and humor, and Paul’s heart and home were always open to those in need of shelter. His favorite role in life was loving his wife and adoring his daughters and grandchildren. He created an annual Papa’s Camp that his grandchildren looked forward to all year.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Mary Queen of Heaven Church in Erlanger, KY. Gifts in Paul’s memory and spirit can be made to The Joseph E. and Pauline Ebertz Edgecliff Memorial Scholarship at Xavier University.
