Pamela Rice
Pamela Rice, 78, of Dry Ridge, KY, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Mayme Eades on May 6, 1946 in Covington, Kentucky.
She is preceded in death by her mother in law, Mildred Hegge-Rice, father in law, James Robert Rice Jr., and her daughter in law, Betty Watson.
She leaves behind her loving husband, James Robert Rice III, her son, Bill Watson, her siblings, Robert (Pat) Eades, Larry (Teri) Clark, granddaughters, Kasi Paige “Hollywood” Watson, and Adrian Blair “Pumpkin” (Isaiah) Railey, great granddaughter, Jacelynn Aurora Ann Railey, her nephew, Brett Eades, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be remembered as the “hostess with the mostest” at Cracker Barrel where she worked as a hostess for many years.
Pam’s love for Elvis began early and remained a defining feature of her life. From her childhood days dancing to the King’s tunes to his lifelong role as an Elvis enthusiast, Pam embraced every facet of Presley’s legacy.
Pam was an avid gardener, spending countless hours cultivating her beloved plants and tending to her garden. Her passion for growing her own produce extended beyond her garden, as she also delighted in canning her harvest and sharing it with friends and family. Her farm life was a source of joy and pride, and she could often be found hosting yard sales.
Pam’s love for family was unmatched. She took great pleasure in hosting Christmas gatherings and creating cherished memories that will be remembered for generations. Her home was always open, filled with laughter, love, and the aroma of delicious homemade treats.
An enthusiastic supporter of the Cincinnati Reds, Pam enjoyed following her favorite baseball team with unwavering loyalty. Her love for shopping was another facet of her vibrant personality, always finding joy in a shopping trip.
Pam’s giving nature was evident in every aspect of her life. Her kindness, dedication, and unyielding love for her family and community left a lasting impact on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched with her generosity and spirit.
A visitation for Pam will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Burlington, KY (1940 Burlington Pike) from 5:00pm until 8:00pm.
A second visitation will be held from 11:00am-12:00pm prior to services on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Burlington. Service will be held at 12:00pm. Burial will follow the services at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger, KY.
