Obituary
Condolences

Pamela “Mimi” Gilmartin Buckley, of Burlington, Kentucky, passed away over the past weekend at her home. Pam was born on October 2, 1953, and was raised in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky.

She held the honor of being the last of the Gilmartin family name and is welcomed in heaven by her Daddy, Mother, Pat, Peg and Katzy.

She is survived by her children, Neal (child Bray), Evan (wife Allison, children Willa, Annie, and Miles), Lauren (fur-children Kuye and Shay), John Buckley and Melanie Hansbauer and families.

She was known as Mimi or Mom to most, her life’s work was caring for those she loved. Her children were given every opportunity and encouraged to become good, well-rounded people, and friends were allowed over anytime they pleased. The Buckley house was the welcoming home.

Dinner as a family, even with a multitude of sports, was non-negotiable, and Christmas traditions were planned to perfection. She loved Paul McCartney, the warmth of a fire, and making memories last, documenting her extended family and children’s lives with home movies and photos.  Her caring nature and welcoming smile will be missed greatly.

We invite family and friends to join us in remembering and celebrating her life by commenting your condolences. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Childhood Cancer Organization http://www.acco.org/ as it was very near and dear to her heart.

Pam was my neighbor and friend over the past 9 yrs. We talked all the time and always checked on each other. I would say to her just checking on you to make sure you are ok over there. My heart has been breaking ever since she left us. She was as crazy but I loved her. Rest in peace Pam.
