Norma Ann Rieckhoff, age 95, died peacefully at Carmel Manor, Ft. Thomas, Kentucky on October 3, 2021. Ann was born to Carl and Agnes (Emral) Kloentrup on December 31, 1925. She was retired from the State of Kentucky Department of Special Education, Frankfort, KY where she was employed for many years. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Covington, KY, where she lived prior to Carmel Manor. She was a 1943 graduate of Holy Cross High School in Latonia, KY.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Rieckhoff, and her siblings Carl Kloentrup Jr., Hugh Kloentrup, and Rita Barth. She is survived by her children Sue Rieckhoff and Christine (John) Kleemeier; and her five grandchildren, Ann (Shawn) Seward, Sarah Kleemeier, Mary Kleemeier, John Kleemeier and Alexandra Matamoros, she is also survived by her cousins Barbara Kloentrup Hughes and Jimmy Miller and Janet (Miller) Dolan and by 16 nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held for Ann on Friday, October 8, 2021 at St. Augustine Church, Covington from 10:00am to 11:00am. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11:00 am. Ann will be laid to rest a St. John’s Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Vincent de Paul, c/o St Augustine Church (1839 Euclid Ave, Covington, KY 41014) or St. Augustine Elementary School (1840 Jefferson Ave. Covington, KY 41014). Our sweet Auntie Ann has left us with a lifetime of happy memories and funny stories. We all knew she loved us dearly. She will live forever in our hearts. May she rest in peace.

So very sorry to learn of our Cousin Annie’s passing.
We have lost a wonderful Lady, while heaven has gained a bridge player and boisterous laugh…so much for everyone resting in peace now!! ‘;o)
I so enjoyed being in your Mom’s company. Annie sure made everything fun!
May you take comfort in knowing all of her elder life issues have ceased.
