Nicholas “Nick” Gausepohl

Nicholas Gausepohl Jr., 78, of Union, KY, passed away on Sunday November 9th, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood. He was a cryptologist for the U.S. Navy and the Department of Defense for 31 years and an Alumnus of Holy Cross High School. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Gausepohl; his brothers, Charles, Robert, and Richard Gausepohl; and his sister, Mary Alice Link nee Gausepohl. He is survived by his daughters, Jenny Duke of Pasadena, MD, and Judy (Carl) Harkleroad of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; and his sons, Greg (Claudia) Gausepohl of Ocean City, MD, and Dana (Heather) Gausepohl of Severna Park, MD. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Brian (Emmi) Duke, Billy (Yulanda) Duke, and Adam and Kristin Duke, Zach Harkleroad, Nick and Lexi Gausepohl; his great-grandchild, Naomi Duke; his step-grandchildren, Carl and Karli Harkleroad; and his step great-grandchildren, Sam and Alex Harkleroad. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday November 12th, 2014 at 11:00AM at Mother of God Cemetery Mausoleum.
