Nicholas Bryce Sears

Obituary
Condolences

Nicholas Bryce “Bryce” Sears, age 22, of Erlanger, Kentucky, passed away on March 5, 2026, at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

Bryce was born on May 8, 2003, to Buffy (née Morrison) and Kevin Sears. From an early age, Bryce had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed feeling the breeze, relaxing in a shady spot, and especially loved spending time at the beach. Bryce had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh that brightened the lives of those around him. His family lovingly nicknamed him “Chewbacca,” or “Chewy,” because of the similar sound of his voice, a nickname that became a cherished part of his identity.

In addition to his parents, Bryce is survived by his brothers, Jared Sears and Ethan Sears; his aunts and uncles, Scott Morrison, Stephen (Stephanie) Morrison, and Holly Sipple; his paternal grandfather, Gerald Sears; his maternal grandmother, Betty Morrison; and his maternal great-grandmother, Helen Collins. He also leaves behind many cousins who loved him dearly.

Bryce was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Jack Collins; his maternal grandfather, Gene Morrison; his paternal grandmother, Candice Sears; and his uncle, Ray Sipple Sr.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger, Kentucky. A funeral service will take place the following morning, Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell.

So sorry for your loss

I happened to be scrolling Facebook and saw the name Bryce. I had the pleasure of working with Bryce in first steps a long time ago and although I had not kept up with your family I sure remember what an inspiration Bryce was to me. I’m so sorry for your loss and I know he will be deeply missed. Prayers for your family and friends. I just remember what a fighter he was as an infant/toddler and had to reach out to let you know he had always been an inspiration to me and one little boy and smile I could never forget.

Offering Prayers

In November, we lost our 27 year old special needs son, William Bryce (he went by Bryce). Please know of my prayers for you, as the lessons our sons taught will live deep in the hearts of everyone who knew them. Please reach out through Linnemann if you ever need a shoulder!
