Myra Rose Thomas, 67, of Union, KY passed away peacefully on April 7, 2019 at her home. Myra was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Erma Herrmann; and her brother, Mike Herrmann. Myra is survived by her husband of 47 years, Jim Thomas; her children, Jennifer (Jesse) Mahoney, Jimmy (Christy) Thomas, and Leeanna (Joe) Mangiafico; her siblings, Marlynn (Ron) Studer, Mary Ann Herrmann, Marty Herrmann, and Marita Van Meter; and her sister-in-law, Angie Herrmann. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Austin and Alex Mahoney, Gabe, Mallory, and Hayden Thomas, and Lydia Mangiafico. Visitation will be on Thursday, April 11, 2019 from 9:30AM-11:30AM at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Union, KY. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 11:30AM at St. Timothy Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest afterwards at St. Mary Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, KY. My Dear Cousins
Dear Jim, Thomas Family, & my very dear Cousins, Marilyn, Mary Ann, Marty & Marita, My heartfelt thoughts of sympathy are with you all today. We are so very sad about the loss of your dear Myra. Sweet Myra was a wonderful cousin to me, my age, & I cherish many happy memories of our youths together.
Death truly is our enemy(1 Cor. 15:26) & my hope is to see Myra fresh & new again through the blessed resurrection ((John 11:20-25). These Bible texts have brought me much hope & comfort in the loss of my dear loved ones: John 5 28,29; 2 Cor. 1:3,4; Acts 17:31. May the God of peace be with you! You remain in my prayers. Jim & Family – Myra and Ive known each other since Marilyn & Buck (my Uncle) got married – at a very young school age tried to convince our teacher that we were cousins. We remained good friends throughout school but as most sadly drifed apart. My heart goes out to you and the family. Being a Grammy who watched her grandkids,I won’t be able to attend her service.
