Mildred “Millie” Dimler
Mildred “Millie” Marie Dimler (nee Eburg), age 97, passed away Friday November 30, 2018 at Rosedale Green in Latonia KY. Millie was born in Scottdale, Pennsylvania on May 21, 1921 and was the daughter of the late Frank and Erma (Laughhead) Eburg. She married Raymond Dimler on December 24, 1949. She met him upon his discharge from the U.S. Army after World War II, where they both worked for the Wadsworth Watch Case Company in Dayton, Kentucky. After her husband’s death in November 1965, Millie moved to Alexandria, Kentucky, where she lived for more than 30 years. During that time, she also worked in the central supply department at Lakeside Place nursing home. She most recently resided in Florence before moving to Rosedale Green in Latonia in May 2017. She was an avid reader and loved to watch the Cincinnati Reds games. While she had no children of her own, she took on the role of mother to many of her nephews and was also number one babysitter to her great nephews, whom she regarded as her grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her two sisters and brothers in-law, Dorothy and William Huddleston and Marjorie and George Rasmussen. Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews. Millie will be cremated. A memorial service will be held Thursday December 27, 2018 at 12pm at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Crestview Hills. No formal visitation will take place, though friends will be greeted beginning at 11:30am. The family wishes to express appreciation to the staff at Rosedale Green and St Elizabeth Hospice for the excellent care provided to Millie during the past year and a half.
