Mike Burton
Mike Burton (Larry Michael Burton), 64, entered eternal life on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, KY. Mike was an avid golfer and passionate sports fan. Originally from Ashland, KY, Mike served in the United States Air Force in the Honor Guard and as a military police officer. Following service to his country, Mike started a career in Sales. He retired in 2015 from Sales at Kerry Toyota, Florence. While at Kerry, he built a huge list of new and return customers and made many friendships along the way. His parents Marion and Bonnie Burton, brother Timothy Burton and son Jeremy Michael Burton preceded him in death. Mike is survived by his wife Helen Carroll, step-son and daughter-in-law Steve and Kristina Littrell; sister and brother-in-law Nancy Burton Martin and Robert Martin; nieces Elisabeth Shirring (Christopher) and Amanda Kidd (Matthew); great-nieces: Olivia, Brynley, and Harper; great-nephew Benjamin; good golfing buddies Ken Page, Andrew Johnson and George Hendry, as well as many family members and friends. Honorary Pallbearers are Ken Page, Andrew Johnson, David Howell, Christopher Shirring, Matthew Kidd, and David Barricklow. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Linnemann Funeral Home in Burlington, KY with service to follow at 4:00 PM. Burial will be in Oviedo, Florida.
