Michael David Russo

Michael “Mick” David Russo, 83, of Burlington, KY passed away peacefully on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Boonespring Care Center in Union, KY. Michael was born May 24, 1939 in Cincinnati, OH to the late Samuel and Margarite Russo. He worked for the United States postal service as a mail carrier for 30 plus years before his retirement. Michael was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Burlington, KY. He also enjoyed golfing and watching old Westerns. He was preceded in death by his parents: Samuel and Margarite Russo, his daughter, Mary Margaret Russo, and his brothers: Jack, Sonny, Dick, Bob, and Ronnie Russo. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 60 years: Shirley Russo (nee: Buckhart), his beloved daughter: Michelle Reilly (Pat), his cherished grandchildren: Samantha, Jake and Anna Reilly, and his dear brothers: Jerry Russo (Judy), and Donald Russo (Mary). Michael donated his body to the University of Cincinnati Body Donation program. A Celebration of Michael’s life will be held on Friday, September 23, 2022 from 11:30am until 1:30pm at Linnemann Event Center, 1940 Burlington Pike, Burlington, KY 41005. Food and drinks will be provided and a prayer service will follow at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Stepping Stones, Inc. at 5650 Given Road, Cincinnati, OH 45243.
