Melvin “Mel” Lueke

Melvin H. Lueke, 90, of Florence, passed away Monday, Oct. 6, 2014 at Madonna Manor surrounded by his family. Mr. Lueke was a graduate of Covington Catholic and proudly served our county in the United States Army during WWII. He was employed with David Joseph Co. for 41 years and the Kenton Co. Golf Course for 20 years and a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Burlington. Mr. Lueke is survived by his loving wife, Mary and their 4 children, John Eric (Suzanne) Lueke of Dayton, OH, Brian (Dianna) Lueke of Atlanta, GA, Mary Beth “Buffy” (Ed) Conradi of Edgewood, KY and Melissa Lueke (Scott Linstruth) of Union, KY. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 10th from 10am to 11:30am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Burlington with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30am at the Church. Entombment will be at Mother of God Mausoleum in Latonia. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Karen Lueke Horrall Scholarship Fund c/o Thomas More College.
